When you’re ready to hit the water, there are a couple of boat launch options available in the area:

Invermere Boat Launches

Next to Pete’s Marina | Lake Windermere - free boat launch in central Invermere with plenty of vehicle parking. Pro-tip, stick to the gravel side of the launch, as the concrete pad has a bit of a drop off that's finicky to maneuver around.

Next to Bayshores Condos | Lake Windermere - free boat launch just past the Bayshore condos in Invermere with a decent amount of parking spaces. Simply follow the gravel path on your left after passing over the bridge on 4th Ave to access the launch.

Next to Tretheway Beach | Lake Windermere - free boat launch Windermere with a decent amount of parking options. The nearest public beach is Windermere public beach just down the way with additional parking space.

Canal Flats Boat Launch

Tilley Memorial Park | Columbia Lake - pay-per-use boat launch with limited spaces available in Canal Flats. This is the area’s hidden oasis for boat enthusiasts and is certainly worth the trek out from Invermere for a quieter laker & easier boat launch.

Aside from the obvious on-land gas stations that surround the Valley, Lake Windermere has two fuel stations in the water to fill up on the go.

Lake Windermere is the only spot in the area that offers boat rentals. There are currently three companies in Invermere offering boat rentals (Pete’s Marina, Lake Life Boat Rentals & Nauti Watersports) and one offering private boat tours (Lake Windermere Cruise.)
