A Guide To Our Favourite Places in Invermere & The Columbia Valley
Activities
-
Greywolf Golf Course
This course is so incredible that it almost feels surreal. Named one of the top 100 Golf courses outside of the United States by Golf Digest, each hole offers its own experience with dramatic landscapes and spectacular views. We recommend starting out early and dining at their restaurant for breakfast before heading out on the course. Don’t forget to leave some time for shopping in their pro-shop. It’s one of the best ones we’ve seen.

Toby Creek Adventures
White water rafting with Toby Creek adventures is an absolute blast that the whole family can enjoy, leaving you with cherished lifelong memories. It’s one of those activities that’ll have you sitting around the table for years to come telling stories that start with “remember when?” With Toby Creek, you know you’re in good hands. Everyone is always raving about how friendly and knowledgeable the staff are
We also recommend hitting up Toby Creek for their Paradise Mountain Snowmobile Tour if you’re staying with us during the winter. Even if you’ve never ridden a snowmobile no need to worry; any level of rider can participate. You’ll spend the day out with your guide touring the mountain and pass by a frozen waterfall, which is a definite showstopper. The tour also comes with a BBQ lunch, hot drinks and snacks. Make sure to call and book ahead of time if you’re planning on going because they get sold out fast.

Peppi’s is an Invermere legend and the perfect option if you and the family are “hangry” and don’t feel like cooking. They’re not only famous for their friendly service but their unique pizza toppings and freshly made pizza dough.

Beginnings
“Casual family dining in a vintage atmosphere steeped in our region’s history.”
Address: 1310 7th Ave, Invermere, BC
Established in 2021, this scrumptious breakfast spot has created a huge splash in Invermere. Located right downtown, they’ve created a warm and inviting atmosphere that makes everyone want to linger a little while longer. Beginnings is hands down our favourite place for breakfast, brunch or a late lunch. When you visit, you have to order their Eggs Benny and one of their specialty coffees or a mimosa…because who doesn’t love to start their day with champagne? Am I right??

Fishing at Dorothy Lake
Do you have a child in your group with dreams of having their own “fish story?” If so, you’ll have to head on down to Dorothy Lake. Even though it’s called a lake, it is a large pond found at the end of Kinsmen Park in Invermere. It’s been designated as a place that children 16 and under can fish without a license as long as up to 2 adults accompany them. The water is regularly stocked with trout making it likely that the child you’re with will have the thrill of catching a fish. It’s also a habitat for the western painted turtle where the kids can spot the turtle’s sunbathing or swimming just below the water’s surface.
